
Seminole County Fire Department (SCFD) crews and the Longwood Fire Department responded at 10:23 a.m. August 11, 2026 to a three-vehicle crash on a curve in front of 1384 SR 434 in Longwood, Florida.
Firefighters on arrival discovered a 40-gallon gasoline tank in the bed of a work pickup truck was compromised during the crash. SCFD’s Squad 2 safely pumped and removed the fuel to eliminate the hazard.
Paramedics on arrival contacted five crash victims for assessment. Two patients (non-critical) were transported to the hospital, according to SCFD. Three other individuals declined transport with EMS refusals.
Westbound SR 434 was temporarily closed at Tollgate Trail while crews worked to treat patients, mitigate the fuel hazard, and clear the scene.
