Senator Marco Rubio penned an op-ed in Thursday’s Miami Herald called “Why We Must Save Medicare.” In this video, Senator Rubio details that op-ed further and elaborates on his goals for the program.
“Medicare is going bankrupt, and anyone who says its not is simply lying. Medicare will broke in as little as nine years,” Senator Mark Rubio.
Marco Antonio Rubio is the junior United States Senator from Florida and member of the Republican Party. He was born in Miami, Florida. He lived in Las Vegas for about six year, and has lived in Miami since 1985.
Senator Rubio,
I heard you this morning on Fox. You were quite convincing when speaking about the future of Medicare. Keep stressing that anyone
(Obama, Representatives, Senators, Americans)opposed to Paul Ryan’s plan is obligated to put forth a plan of their own.
However, when asked a question which would in greater detail explain
Ryan’s plan, you wouldn’t answer the question. You avoided it twice… WHY? Do hammer home the realities of Obama’s ideas.
I follow the news closely, and I still don’t fully understand Ryan’s plan:
1. Will there still be a need for MediGap plans?
(If not, you will be fighting AARP.)
2. What happens to Part D?
3. What happens if the plans offered by the Insurance
Companies are greatly more expensive than the voucher
amount. Mr. Ryan stated that it would be like the
plan he has. GIVE AN EXAMPLE OF HIS PLAN COMPARED
TO HIS PROPOSED PLAN TO SAVE MEDICARE.
4. People under 55 years of age would be paying the
same payroll tax for Medicare coverage which may
fall short of adequate coverage.
Although I am a Senior and would be exempt, I still evaluate any
plan proposed personally.
